Bread Pudding-Our Most Requested Recipe

Our recipe calls for 60 eggs, 4 gallons of bread crumbs, and 3 gallons of cream...but for something to make at home, here you go:

3 eggs
3 1/4 c milk or cream
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
3 c day old bread crumbs or cubes
3/4 c brown sugar
3/4 c raisins

Blend all ingredients. Bake in a shallow casserole at 350 degrees for 45 min, or until set. Serve warm with topping.
Topping-(Hard Sauce)
3 c milk. Sugar and nutmeg to taste. Cook over medium low until boiling, then thicken with cornstarch.
