For Lunch, try a delicious pasty or one of our specialty salads.  We have a selection of vegetarian items, also.  There's a big variety of sandwiches and burgers available, and all sandwiches are available with your choice of our homemade soup or tasty fries.

Our dinner menu includes a host of appetizers, salads, and sandwiches.  Also on the menu are great steaks like the Montreal and the Mackinaw Sizzler; seafood specials like whitefish, perch, crab legs, and garlic shrimp and a variety of chicken and pasta dishes.  You can finish it all off with one of our fudgie sundaes, or perhaps some pie a la mode is more to your liking.  Whatever you prefer, you're sure to find something to your liking at The Embers.

Granny T's Pickles

Grandma Tallman's pickle recipe-served daily on our salad bar!

To make one gallon of brine:

4 c sugar
4 c vinegar
1/2 c coarse or canning salt
1/3 tsp each of turmeric, celery seed and mustard seed

Mix brine in large container, stir and let set. Wash and slice unpeeled cucumbers. For every 8 cucumbers, slice two large, peeled onions. Layer cucumbers and onions in jar until full, then pour brine until covered. Cover; do not seal tightly. Let sit for seven days.
